Junto Boys

ABC and George Stephanopolis did a nice program about David Brinkley this morning. George Will, Sam Donaldson and Cokie Roberts all returned to talk about their favorite stories. I'm so nostalgic for those days. When I first became politically aware in the early 90s, I watched McLaughlin Group, This Week with David Brinkley and read National Review without a fail. Cable News has made the McLaughlin Group passé, but I never tired of Brinkley and his panel. He was the same age as my grandfather and retired the year my grandfather died. I can’t imagine there will ever be anyone like either of them.
