That's a solid list. It is good to see near-forgotten gems like Stripes and Fletch make it. Also 48 Hrs which I'm sure has lost steam in the wake of its many imitators in the subgenre it created. Somebody at that mag is on the ball to get The Big Lebowski and Dazed and Confused included.
I found both The Hustler and Bullitt big time snoozers when I saw them, hardly guy movie material unless there were deeper themes that I slept through. If you go with theme over action then how do you not include Field of Dreams?
As for omissions, besides Jaws, Terminator 2 comes to mind first. I suppose they figured they had that covered with The Terminator. Also Pulp Fiction, which they perhaps figured was covered by Resevoir Dogs. Or maybe girls like it too.
Others to consider: Das Boot, Braveheart, Rounders, First Blood, Lethal Weapon, Miller's Crossing, Stalag 17, Evil Dead 2, Halloween, Mean Streets, and Tremors.
