GRAPHIC DISPLAY OF US ECONOMIC MIGHT

Sort of an interesting map, if you like maps that are sort of interesting. Each state's total GDP (not per capita GDP), the market value of all goods and services produced in that state in a year, is compared to a foreign country with approximately the same GDP.

Although China and India's economies are growing rapidly, the US still dominates the world economy, with total GDP nearly equal to the next four countries combined (Japan + Germany + China + UK). Russia would not like to know that they are about as powerful as New Jersey, and we have Reagan to thank for treating them that way.

This is such an excellent point and one that is sorely missed by most politicians. There is such wealth here and people still b*&^% and complain. Except for the Junto boys of course.
