E,

Whom did you end up voting for and why?

Ha ha. I am as ready as you are for me to stop posting on this topic.

Very heavy turnout today at my bitter clinger polling station. My neighbor is a longtime poll worker. He said by 8am they had processed as many voters as they normally would in a full day.

I was descending in an elevator at the end of the workday after a meeting today in Philly. Two secretaries got on. White secretary (WS) asks black secretary (BS) if she voted today. Black secretary says yes, it was crowded. White secretary says who'd you vote for. Black secretary says Obama, I'm so excited. White secretary says we need change. Black secretary says we sure do. All exit elevator. This is when I realized that all my reading and writing on politics is just to amuse myself and for the occasional accolade from three J Boys. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

E, my friend. In 4, 8, 12 or 16 years there will be another election and one that we will win. Let's look back on this one as the lost cause that we fought hard for.

Tomorrow if we lose I am going to watch Mr. Smith Goes to Washington again to remember what a great country we live in. In that movie Jimmy says the immortal line, "A lost cause is the only one worth fighting for."

Like Stewart, You have been a soldier for the causes and principles that we believe in and I am proud to have you as a friend.
