I’m seeing the Saddam Statue being pulled down by a tank. The Iraqis began to dance upon it. The Iraqis put their flag on the pedestal underneath.
You can't help but get choked up to see a people experience their freedom. It's like we can live through them what it must have meant to our ancestors to come to a free country or to create a free country from scratch. The end of human slavery and repression is not over, but this can begin to show the world that the repression by the boot can be defeated if a big enough group of people so wish it.
I don't know that I have ever been so proud of my country and the people who risk their lives to ensure my freedom and the freedom of others in the world.
